Dalston Arts Hub

Dalston's renaissance is being accompanied by a resurgence of interest in arts activities, of both the observational and participatory kind. Dalston has a rich heritage of cultural activity, and the arrival of venues such as the Arcola Theatre, Gillett Square, Dalston Square, Cafe Oto, the Vortex Jazz Club and Bardens Boudoir alongside area staples such as the Hackney Empire and Rio Cinema has created an appetite for the arts which is transforming the nature of the area.

The Dalston Arts Hub brings together all these parties to ensure that the arts get fair treatment in terms of profile, opportunity and funding in the area masterplan. Initial proposals include a signposted arts trail and a Dalston Arts Festival.
