HCD and it's dependant projects have been responsible for organising events on matters of interest or concern to the local business community. Recent events include the following:

UBS Business seminar

In August 2008, top city financial services company UBS sent a team of advisors to work with local Hackney businesses on such areas as corporate finance, profit and loss, publicity and managing budgets. Seventeen businesses received one to one support from a UBS advisor, and there were plenary sessions for all participants. This event was organised in association with ELBA (the East London Business Alliance). This event was so successful that the same partners repeated it at the end of August 2009.
